    Although surely

    the more obsure songs will crop up in people's favourites because a) they haven't been ruined by being played to death on the radio and b) they are all the more special to people because they "discovered" them, rather than having them rammed down their pie holes. Also, wouldn't you prefer to be told about decent songs you've yet to hear rather than a list of chart songs? "I just want to hear something I've never heard before" - John Peel.
