I'm not sure if it's common knowlege but as a result of the lobbying on the Iain Hume case the FA have put in for a rule change to allow yellow cards to be upgraded in a situation like the Morgan/Hume one. The rule change has now been through all FA comitees and is due to go in front of FIFA.

Maybe its time to start sending the remaining postcards in their direction?

How stupid. The rule is already that the yellow card can be upgraded

For the FA to be lobbying for a rule change due to the incident it shows that they thought the case was exceptional. Obviously exceptional enough to warrent a change of the footballing laws yet when it came to making a decision they said that they couldnt apply the existing rule because it wasnt exceptional.

    fecking hypocrites

Unfortunately or as an excuse the FA hid behind a FIFA directive.

After what happened to Iain Hume, and other daft decisions over the season, the lobbying by Barnsley Supporters, Barnsley FC, the press and others, means that the FA have been forced to act. This was made clear in a meeting that some members of the Trust Board held with the FA to discuss the Iain Hume incident.

What is needed now is the ostriches in the FIFA towers in Zurich to pull their heads out of the sand and come into the real world. As Paul says there are still a number of postcards left, these should be directed towards FIFA, Sept Blatter and the rest of the numpties over there. A good number of other football clubs Supporters groups and other football clubs (Stockport County) also took postcards and forwarded them to the FA and FIFA and we should thank them all.

Still annoys me though that Morgan, Sheffield United and D'Urso got off scott free. Hopefully BFC and Iain will bring the blunts and Morgan to book with the legal action.
