4000 - for clubs in tier 1, 2000 for clubs in tier 2 and 0 for tier 3. Wonder which tier we will come out of lockdown in?
Wish the council would use their heads and slow right down on the testing, less tests, less positive cases, lesser restrictions, better chance of staving off the impending economic armaggeddon.
Ill make a prediction that there will be very few Tier one areas. These will be mostly smaller quiet country towns. There will be a few more Tier Two areas. These will be towns that have minimal disruption from students. The vast majority will be Tier 3. If you are student town eg Nottingham or have areas with multiple generations/families under the same roof you'll remain in T3 for the foreseeable.
Rates are in decline in Yorkshire & Humberside with the exception of Craven, North Lincolnshire and Selby. London and the South East are the current hot spots.
They are going to introduce mass testing in Wakefield - I see zero incentive in getting tested unless you are demonstrably showing symptoms. If someone tells me I need a negative test to go to a restaurant or to get into Oakwell I'll be there in a shot. Otherwise there's absolutely no chance.
Question is, would a club with a capacity of say 5,000 be allowed 4,000 supporters and another club with a capacity of say 30,000 also only be allowed 4,000 supporters?
In tier 1 up to 4,000 people or 50% of the usual capacity can gather, whichever is smaller, while in tier 2 the number is 2,000 people, or 50% of usual capacity. No-one is allowed to attend in Tier 3 areas.
Had exactly the same thought myself - big difference between 4000 in Old Trafford at 5% of capacity ( though that would be Tier 3 anyway) to 4000 in Bournemouth 36% capacity which is likely to be tier 1 or 2 Im sure its all been properly thought through though. Barnsley is certain to be Tier 3 next month even though infection rates are plummeting
