We ought to have known better than to loan someone from Leicester. It's the Drinkwater situation all over again.
We know the score when we take loans in, this why its a floored transfer policy, we need to make permanent signing from now on
We did not loan Drinkwater off Leicester , he was on loan to us from Man Utd & they recalled him & sold him & to be honest , Leicester loaned us Matty James last season who was very useful .
Have you heard something ?I thought he was crocked , he was hobbling badly when he came off on saturday
He will get loaned back out to a higher placed Championship team i would imagine. Whilst ever we are mid-table and passing the ball about like last season, clubs will happily loan us players. But when struggling and presumably not being seen as 'developing' their young starlets, it's not a major surprise to see players recalled. I would think if Chelsea were staying close to Ike Ugbo, he may well be recalled and loaned out to League One too. I suppose this is the chance you take with loan players being integral to your team.
Pound to a penny Leicester recalled him as they don't want to take the chance that a relegation tag could be on his CV......
They’ve only done what the rules allow. Season long loan cut short at their request, when he’s been playing. Man Utd did the same with Drinkwater. If you sign a twelve month loan it should be honoured. We would not have been permitted to send him back if we didn’t want him. In different news Matty James starts for Leicester today
They don't owe us anything. Looking after their own interests. Lucky to have had him in the first place.
