    1.55 Abe Lincoln
This one was backed for the Royal Hunt Cup at Royal Ascot and finished a respectable fifth. Should be fitter today and top French rider Gerald Mosse rides. Weekend Offender will be popular but I think he may have quirks.

    2.30 Barsanti
Clear best on form here and finished second in a Group 2 at Royal Ascot last time. This is easier.

    3.05 Sixties Groove
Caught the eye in a very hot handicap at Royal Ascot last time. Mosse again.

    3.40 Encrypted
Top on form of those to have raced. The excellent James Doyle rides. Richard Fahey runs four but is not in great form just now.

    4.15 Take Cover
Normally runs at Group1/Group 2 level. This is Listed class and therefore easier. Should be best of these.

    4.45 Theydon Grey
Improving (won last two) and Georgia Cox is good value for her 5 lbs claim.

    5.15 Mr Wagyu
Winner at Ripon last time out in a good relative time. Looks to be nicely weighted for this.

I'd be particularly keen on the ones in bold. Good Luck!

Wise words, as ever Upthecolliers. I would only add that if ever you back a horse, you should do it for a reason. Sometimes you might find others' reasons persuasive. Sometimes you might not. But a reason you must have, whether your own or someone else's. But above all else, you should be sure that the price of the horse offers value when the odds are compared to the horse's probable chances of winning. If your make sure of that and your assessments of probability are correct, you will win in the long run.
