With your club hat on, why do you think the club chose to be so selective with the financial information it disclosed? Thanks.
I don't wear hats. But this kind of thread/question proves certain folk right. I can't continue to post on here. I am seen differently now, sadly. Been a good innings though. Signing off. Take care. X
Wholly unfair to expect 'inside' information, as 1.) he probably has none 2.) if he did he'd probably lose his job for sharing it Why would Whitey as a fan think any differently because of his employment? Whitey, I'm sure no harm was meant by it, but I can see how this would frustrate and make your continued contribution appear untenable. But you're still the same fan, don't walk away. This. Valued posts of the years. In fact almost single handedly kept some people interested with the not a podcasts. Then onto the brilliant videos. Culminating in the club giving him a position to do the same style videos etc for the club. It's a classic case of someone being rewarded for effort and giving them a Dream job doing what they live. It's also a classic case of many becoming jealous. Another post a few weeks back all but said **** off. I didn't comment on that post because they can never accept anything other what they post. I really can't understand why folk can't respect his position and continue to let Whitey post as the fan he clearly is. Whatever you decide Andy be proud of the contribution you have made and now make with the club
It's not a case of being selective, it's complying with the requirements of the Companies Act in terms of what is filed. Being in Lg1 will have reduced the turnover so that BFC is classed as a small company and therefore doesn't need to file more detailed info. Any company worth its salt (or with advisors who know what they're doing) will not file more than the minimum, so as not to provide additional info to competitors. Obviously as fans we'd like to know more but I'm not sure if that's ever going to be realistic..
He isn't talking about the companies House documents, he means undisclosed fee every time we buy or sell a player. Our competitors WILL find out those fees, the only people kept in the dark are the supporters and supporters of other clubs aren't kept in the dark as much as we are.
Yo do know that it's not just us with the whole undisclosed thing. Both clubs have to agree for the announcement of a transfer fee. So I might not even be upto us. But you carry on your crusade to find anything and everything wrong at the club. Some of you lot on here seriously need to get out more. No wonder folk aren't using this place anymore.
We have done deals with clubs who have announced figures for other transfers but not for ours. Explain that one if it isn't us. ps, Don Rowing stated that it was our decision not to announce the john stones figure at the time
I'm glad we didn't. I wouldn't want other clubs holding us to ransom as they know how much money we've got sitting in the bank.
Do you honestly think that a club who wants to find out won't be able to find out how much we sold a player for?
Not my intention to drive you away from the forum. Not in the least. I do think you have changed your outlook when you post which is inevitable and not a criticism. You said the fans could do more and when I asked for an example you wouldn't give one. For many people you are their only link to the club. Having been a supporter and a poster on this forum long before you became a club employee, I thought you would appreciate why I was asking the question. All you had to say was "I can't really comment".
Its not only us! According to the Premier League's official website, of the 115 permanent transfers (not counting free transfers) involving Premier League clubs this summer, only five were disclosed with any official figure, meaning that football fans spent their summers reading an increasingly unwelcome, yet familiar phrase: "... for an undisclosed fee." Admittedly this is from a couple of years ago but still shows that it is the trend now and not just a phenomenon restricted to BFC!
Which it always is, Or by the player himself. Or by the other club. If I wanted to sell a player to Barnsley and I wanted to know how much Hourihane went for so i know how much money they've got to spend I could ask Conor himself, his agent, Aston Villas manager, aston villas coaches, conor's friends, conors teammates, aston villas owner, board members, any other club who was outbid for him, the agents working for all those clubs. The list is a mile long. The only people not on that list are the lifeblood of the club
Haha that's why I enjoy these threads popping up from time to time. Whitey takes an innocent comment personally and says he's leaving. People stroke his ego telling him to stay and not leave. Then a few days later he's back.
