Lots to be encouraged by, but its again the swingometer of opinion, don't get carried away, on another day Forest would've had 4. Davies was MOTM. Big call by Hecky bringing on Bird, and it paid off. Message sent to others in the squad on what's needed. COYR.
Can't disagree with any of that. Though we could have had 3 or 4 in the first half both Saturday and today. Reckon we'll take one or two tonkings this season, and wouldn't surprise me to see us dish a couple out.
Exactly right. We could have been buried at the end. No fortune v Ipswich, maybe a slice or two tonight. We're not suddenly world-beaters, but there are signs of promise.
Football evolves so fast, the Championship now requires such a higher standard, a larger squad of hungry, competitive, quality players, its no longer sufficient to have a good first 11. So, by selling and reinvesting we move towards that bigger more competitive squad. Not defending all the sales but I've seen enough promise in some of the new lads to have some faith in the spreadsheet and a lot if praise for the management team and their ethos of put a shift in and better yourself or **** off.
Absolutely this. Said earlier if we get 6 points by international break (so beat United or Sunderland) that would be bloody fantastic from first 5 games. Although 4 or 5 wouldn't be a disaster. Longer Hecky has, more players available, and more game time then we'll hopefully see it all clicking. With a few misfires, naturally, along the way.
