Which Barnsley player over the last 20 years didn't reach the level you thought they could have? I thought Nardiello had the talent to be a great bfc player but he didn't come close, a big shame.

I haven't been watching us 5 years never mind 20 but out of my time watching us i'd maybe say Vaz Te, had some ability but lost it once West Ham got promoted.

I seem to rememberVaz Te had a few injuries though, dislocated shoulder for one..... In recent years the most frustrating has to be Dale Jennings, a bit one footed to be a premier league player, but if he could be disciplined enough to train hard and keep the weight off, a decent Championship club still might be available to him.

John Stones. I thought he'd have won the lot by now. You see, I had a scoring system and......

Vaz te I think was brilliant for us but Jennings is definitely one in the could have been good for us but wasn't.

There's been countless players during that time from the Academy & youth set up touted as the next big thing by those in the know who then disappeared quickly from the scene. Dale Jennings is the stand out contender of those brought into the club.

I started this thread to see how many different names would come up, it would seem that many of the signings we have made over the years have performed to a level that we expected of them which would show what our level of expectancy is for our club and the standard of players we accept them to bring in.
