Sky reporting various Premier League teams after him on loan as well as Championship clubs. Think that pretty much rules that one out.

Brighton, Huddersfield and Watford all keen to sign him on loan apparently.

    But he wouldn't play regularly

Depends what they want for him / from him really

Anyone thinking Fletcher was a realistic option is deluded.

Anyone thinking a post saying he was joining us was true is a moron.

Look towards league 1 or U23 premiership for our targets. We have a plan. It's working. It's not changing.

Why would West Ham let Fletcher go to any of these teams who could potentially finish above them

Dan, Fletcher on loan would fit within our plan.

Never say never - we can offer him regular game time and our great track record at improving youngsters, Fletcher included

I think most people realised it was and is an outside chance. It depends on a lot of factors.

If West Ham want him to develop I could see why they would choose us. For example what if they demanded a clause in the loan agreement saying he needs to play if fit? Would leeds, Huddersfield Brighton etc agree to that? I doubt it, but we might especially as he is a known quantity? Does that make me a moron?

Using the word moron was probably a mistake - however the sentiment still stands.

Look at our transfer business so far. Lower league players and U23 players.

Look at other transfers. Izzy Brown is way behind Fletcher in terms of development yet he's a Prem loan signing.

If we signed Fletcher we've 1. Blown the budget, 2. He should be playing at a higher level (even in our division) and 3. He's let himself down if he comes back to us. He should be at a higher lever.

Don't know if he'll come, but Hecky hasn't ruled it out.

    1. We have a fair bit of money, but Fletcher's wages are **** all to West Ham, so if they think they'd rather place him with us, then that may be workable.
    2. If he was guaranteed a game in the Prem fair enough, but I seriously doubt it.
    3. He would be playing at a higher level than when he last got a lot of game time in L1.

Not saying it will/won't happen but unsure as to why West Ham would loan to another league rival especially when some of the clubs mentioned ie Watford finish around them each season

I am sure we are one of the many Championship clubs linked and I would hope that we would be in a good position to get him too given our track record over recent seasons developing youngsters and he knows the club and is a Yorkshire lad.

Im sure many bigger clubs will be in for him in our league all of whom can pay more of his wage but it will all depend on his choice and what West Ham want

We still have a chance & it would be a brilliant signing.
I think a few actually don't want him to sign so they can say we don't have ambition & want top quality players.
Fact of the matter is we do want him but just can't afford his wages.
He'd play most games, knows the club & West Ham would have a player that developed whilst here, we are a realistic proposition for him & I hope he picks us...

You'd have gotten away with just posting this bit.

Would have saved you a couple of minutes too not typing out the rest :)

How can you say Brown is way behind Fletcher in terms of development?
