I don't understand why there was a deadline of 31st December for buying one. Surely the cut off point should have been when there were less than 5 home games left.
Because the people that wanted them and were complaining about having a lack of opportunities to go to matches would have bought them in the time the club provided
But what would it hurt to continue selling them? Unless I suppose the last 5 matches add up to more than the flexi ticket price (very likely) and they didn't want people buying it and using it for that purpose (although people could have bought one before and saved it anyway). If we are in or about the playoffs/automatic people may be inclined to go and pay full price for the last few matches.
Some people might have done that and now want to buy another. There also should still have been a half season ticket for those who could make a longer commitment. The more types of tickets to fit people's circumstances the better.
Not necessarily. Everyone's circumstances are different. I live abroad and will be back for 3 matches around Easter. Had I been staying in the UK a little longer, a flexi ticket would have made perfect sense. Actually in retrospect I should have bought one when I was back in November. Will probably purchase one at the start of next season if they decide to do them again.
The scrapping of the half season ticket was a massive own goal. Especially bearing in mind our league position at new year. Very odd.
I'd have one hundred per cent bought a half-season ticket for someone's Christmas present. Sad times.
I can see why they stopped selling the flexi IF they had started selling a half season ticket. Maybe they might do a flexi for the second half of the season sometime soon
