I can see so many similarities with these two players. Experience coming out of their ears at the highest level, about the same age and both capable footballers when we finally got them.

Of course I am assuming that Mills will do well for us - no reason why not. I'd make him captain on Saturday as well - Davies needs to concentrate on what he is doing rather than rushing out of his box to remonstrate with defenders every time the ball goes behind for a goal kick.

Big welcome to Oakwell for Matt Mills from me - could be the steady influence that we have been lacking.

I’ve always rated him though lost his career over the last couple of years. He was certainly a talent when younger. Looking forward to it.

He’s certainly got something for managers to play him 400+ times at this level or above.

I’ll not judge him based on what forest fans are saying - that club has been a basket case since the day he signed! Also some of the comments about MacDonald on here are very off in my opinion.

Will certainly help our young lads having someone like Mills in the squad.

If he finds form would be a great addition to the team. Don’t agree to making an out of form player that’s not played a game yet captain though. So many ways that can backfire.

For some reason I can't remember he is called Matt and keep thinking we have signed Mick Mills.

Totally agree - Just what we need - and you're SO right about the Captaincy - he's been Capt at his other clubs - Start this Saturday (assuming Pinnock is still ill!!)

Having listened to the press conference with Clapham sounds like Pinnock and Jackson aren’t too far away. So lots of competition there, and Mills will be (hopefully) a plug and play replacement.

Nice to hear Clapham say the Macdonald sale was purely down to the fact he is way off fitness, and there is no fall out. Hopefully those stiring the pot can leave it there now.

There's a lot of snobbery among fans of those clubs who think they are still 'big'. I tend to ignore their opinions.

If he's as half as good and as half an influence on the other players that Rambo was, he'll do for me.

Mills has to be captain. Leader needed. Hopefully if he is interested in coaching it could be a really good move.
Another Bobby type, but someone who has played higher. At 31 should have 3 more years in him as a player.
When Pinnock is back fit he's got to be on his game to start though.

So you now know more than Hecky and Clapham? And you’re saying they are liars.

You do seem to have strange vendettas against certain players. Much like Hemsie did. Not sure why you keep insinuating there is something more sinister to Angus departure. Odd.

Good luck Angus - top bloke. Great ambassador for the club. Will do well at Hull.
