Yep. Angus is a top bloke, but is 4th in line when fully fit, and we needed some experienced cover for the rest of the season who is fully match fit.
What are you talking about? Another attack for no reason. Angus says he’s been fully fit for 4-5 weeks.
Huh? You’re very strange. You replied to my post slandering Angus. Again. So yes - another attack from you for no reason. You don’t have to reply to my posts. But if you do expect a response. It’s how conversations work. Very odd.
Slandering Angus by saying he’s been fully fit for 4-5 weeks? What on earth are you talking about? How is that slander?
Angus has said that he has been fully fit for 4-5 weeks. It’s worth noting that during that time we’ve used both McCarthy and Pearson at centre half. I’ve heard PH tell Radio Sheffield that certain players are injured when fit, fully fit when injured and also that no new signings were imminent only to announce a new signing immediately after the conclusion of that interview. Clapham’s simply towing the party line, imho.
Angus was still doing community work and work for the club the day before he signed. He’s an absolutely top bloke and was great with the fans. Just find it odd that some people (not you) are trying to pull apart his character with zero foundation. I also don’t see how he can be fully match fit having barely been able to train since November. But it was in his interest, and ours, for Hull to believe he was. Get a good fee for our captain and he gets a big pay rise. Anyways, he’s gone now and I look forward to seeing how he does at Hull. Hopefully Mills can come in and steady the ship until Pinnock and Jackson are back. Although think Pearson has done very well in a somewhat unfamiliar position.
Ok. Perhaps he should have said “I haven’t played in a couple of months, am just getting over an iron deficiency, and it may take me 2 months to get fully match fit. Sure their fans would love that! Anyways. You keep insinuating what you like. Not much point conversing with you on this subject.
It is what was called a "white lie" back in the day. Us PC cnuts banned such terminology a while back, championing instead the phrase "Fake News".
Someone who hasn’t played in 2 months can not be match fit. But I hope he gets games and gets back to his best. Just hope it doesn’t backfire on us. Cracking player when fully fit.
Well no he wouldn’t have said that because then he would have been lying. He’s been fully fit for 4-5 weeks, just not selected.
Ok. Good luck to him at Hull. Very good championship defender when fit. Brilliant ambassador for club and charity. Wish him the best, hopefully not at our expense.
Why do you think we sold him? Why do you think he hasn’t made the squad despite being fully fit for 4-5 weeks?
Ok Chris. Enjoy your night. Life is precious and I can’t be arsed wasting any more time conversing with you. I wish Angus all the best at Hull.
I concur, I think it's a coy signing. Would have loved a centre half of his calibre a few years ago when he was at Donny, and then Reading. Knows the division inside out and maybe a point to prove and give two fingers back to the Forest fans who've panned him. He's certainly got my backing. I think Stephen Foster came to us from Burnley with a damaged reputation. Not a world beater but just the sort of dependable experienced defender we tend to get good service from. Let's hope Mills does the same.
