Did anyone see the interview with their manager this morning? Think it's Cooper that we were linked with at one point.

He was saying how they trawl the football league for potential and players that need a change of scenery, etc.

Sounded a bit like the moneyball malarkey, and things a bit closer to home.

I saw Forest Green the other week and they played some lovely football, had the game sewn up at half time. It's obviously a part of what's working for them.

Thing is though, like Crewe back in the day, they are doing it in the lower leagues where it will work better. I don't think it's a chance at this level, and I hope the owners didn't see the item because they might just think they've found our next head coach.

You may have been lucky with the game you saw mate. A colleague regularly goes to watch them and he said on the whole the quality of football is rubbish. Or 'dreadful' as he usually reports back. He only goes because he lives in Stroud and there's nothing else to do on a Saturday.

You could be right, but to be fair the post was more about how they're doing things very similar to us, but at a more forgiving level.

Maybe we will drop down to league two and start over! Haha. Appreciate what you're saying. My colleague is a Leicester fan first and foremost so his judgment may be skewed

They will have ruined many bets today. Scored 7 in two games to be top of the league and then today draw a blank.
