I doubt it. If Daniel had already had a good year in the championship then I might be worried. And if they did want him then we'd better take all the compo they get from Chelsea plus some!
Stendel seems to be the first choice of many Derby fans on twitter. I’m a little worried, in fairness.
What, at our Danny boy? Reckon he'd not be in their top 100. They'd rather take someone with minimal managerial experience like Lampard, a peculiarly British thing that's a bit mind- boggling really.
I must be honest, Derby would be one of the teams I would be really worried about making a move for the gaffer. They proved with Lampard that they are willing to take a punt on someone without any experience of management(granted, he had the name value to command respect from his players and attract new recruits), so Stendel's lack of Championship experience may not worry them too much.
Steven Gerrard has ruled himself out in the Daily Record.. For what it's worth Stendel doesn't appear in the betting list at the moment, but Heckingbottom does. Both Darren Moore and Garry Monk are available so there's plenty of alternatives. The lad at Lincoln is also attracting quite a bit of money.
Hecky may as well enjoy the adulation north of the boarder, hes got the Proccaimers singing his praises.
Unsure why Derby would consider appointing such a bad manager (only just scraping 40% win ratio in the SPL, but historically struggling to break 28% as a full time manager), but no mistake he'd leave for anyone immediately for an extra fiver a year. Guy's got loyalty to only one thing: £££.
My worry nothing to do with Darragh. Just know Stendel's a top manager and we'll not be the only club that has seen it.
Hope Lampard gets the gig. Can't really see him being any kind of success. Which suits me as I hate Chelsea. Hope it all ends in tears.
Gerrard says he's stopping at Rangers as he's got unfinished business there. Usual names emerging re- Danny Crowley, Darren Moore, Gary Monk etc but Chris Hughton appears to be strongly fancied. Think it's nailed on that Lampard is joining Chelsea. His wife and kid still live in their house close to Stamford Bridge. It's been confirmed today, that Gianfranco Zola is also staying on as a Coach. Seen several reports that Lampard and his wife have spent time with Abramovich on his yacht in St Tropez, which probably indicate it's probably a done deal. https://www.thesportreview.com/2019...er-news-frank-lampard-roman-abramovich-talks/
I never saw that Gerrard quote but that I'd say is just a smoke screen. Given the chance if Chelsea came calling he would be off like a shot. No way would he remain to fulfil unfinished business.
The Derby owner Mel Morris has been on Talk Sport earlier today for a in depth interview and apparently he said he won't go for a manager already in a job at another club, as he wouldn't want to do to a club what Chelsea are doing to them.
Only one club Gerrard will go to once he's finished his apprenticeship and that's Liverpool. It was clear from the outset that Liverpool only let him go to get experience of managing big club and then go back to them in a few years time to take over from Klopp
