What are we all doing now it's winter, dark and boring here in tier 3? I've just watched Question Of Sport and just about to take the dog out - he likes walking in the dark for some reason. The wife has just picked up the Tesco click and collect, and the ******** have replaced my Coors Light with Budweiser in the like for like swap. I'm not a fan of that. How are we all doing?
Sitting on the patio of ATwater Tavern in a T-shirt and shorts, enjoying a nice pint of Sculpin IPA. The winters are harsh here.
Because of lockdown I’ve been playing the game of starting with £5 and putting it on whatever game you’re watching, even if it’s an obvious favourite, and seeing how much of a streak you can go on. Putting your whole kitty on each game. Currently got £32 on Wolves. And they just scored a second goal! In other news, I thought I’d ‘cracked the code’ of entering the US via Mexico, but discovered you can’t even enter the US in transition change planes. So I’ve spent the last three hours searching which European airports fly direct to Mexico and seeing how to get there to then fly.
Literally nothing. I wake, go to work, come home, eat, sleep. TV is on but I couldn't tell you what's on it. Same **** different day
Little un been watching Disney so cracked a bottle of red and had a butchers on here. Now going to watch horror, little un in bed. Thinking Exorcist.
Took our dog for a walk around 6. She's a slightly nervous lurcher so she doesn't like the dark quite so much! And my Beer52 delivery arrived today, so I'm currently supping a lost and found neipa whilst watching a Belgian drama on All 4. Rock and roll.
Is Beer 52 a box a month? Is that how it works? I know the website, the beers, and the boxes they do. But never fully understood the subscription. Assuming it is subscription?
This is from the subscription page of their website "You are sent out 8 or 10 delicious craft beers every 28 days."
Yeah I get a box a month but you can pause the subscription if you want to skip a month. A mate of mine also gets it once every other month so I think it's quite flexible. Some good offers to start with over first few months you join with but I've eventually ended up paying £34 for 12 beers including delivery. Sounds steep but I would usually pay 3-4 quid a can for a "craft beer". And it's something to look forward to in lockdown. If anyone's interested I can forward them a deal for a free case. You'd have to cancel the subscription after the first case if you didn't want to pay for further cases.
I've lit all the candles and have been cuddling the dog while binge watching Upstairs Downstairs on youtube I love autumn, will miss the trick ot treaters tomorrow.
I'm probably missing out, but I just can't bring myself to watch it. The idea of spending my time watching someone else watching television... I just can't do it.
9 year old daughter wanting to watch Star Wars films so we watched Empire and half of Jedi this evening. She thinks its better than Harry Potter which is a result!
Curry Mahal, Billy No Mates table in the corner on my own. Several pints and a few red wines, good conversation with the staff. Ended up having a mackerel bhuna with extra chillies, highly recommended. Mackerel and/or sardines available from the nearby coop, if anyone fancies it
