The bottle of Coors is out - sorry lads. A few stats for you all. - Mads Anderson has the most clearances in the league with 98. - Anderson, Helik and Sollbauer are 2nd, 3rd and 4th in the league for interceptions with 43, 43 and 37. Sorry Mads for slating you this week, I'll have this bottle on you. In other news, I've had a fiver on Soucek for the 1st goal tonight in the Leeds v West Ham game. He'll head a corner in against Dirty Leeds. Plus, I've got a runny nose today. Hayfever hurts me more when it's cloudy for some reason. Hope everyone is ok, anyone doing owt special?
Speaking of musings and the Leeds match. Why , for the penalty did it take VAR to spot the keeper a few millimetres off his line, when Stevie Wonder would have seen the West Ham players encroaching by two yards before the ball was kicked?
Pass. They were encroaching during the retake too - although I'm jiggered if this matters with the new rules. Its a good game tbf.
Christ I missed that one. I skimmed through the stats to see if any of our lads were in there. We don't have any representation in many attacking areas (apart from Woodrow being top 10 for shots on target). Big Keiffer is top for aerial duels won - unsure where he ranks for arse hairiness.
On WhoScored (the stats site), Kieffer is the top rated player in the division. Cauley is 37th and Callum 39th. Mads' 45th, Helik 46th. That's not bad going to have four in the top 50 players in the division. Statistically. Ethan Pinnock is 56th for context. Sheff Wednesday have one in the top 70 - Borner. Think he's out tomorrow.
Also... Only Derby (8) have scored less than Wednesday (9). Nobody has fewer shots per game than the Owls (8.7) - we have 11.8. Nobody has a worse disciplinary record (31 yellows and 5 reds) than Wednesday.
It's probably my favourite, but I do think their scoring system is a little flawed and doesn't help central midfielders out. But that's a long and boring story. I particularly enjoy the match page. It's better during the actual live event. But very informative. And it's free.
Thanks. I've got nothing but time on my hands these days, with Shelter-in-Place. No more outdoor dining for me until after 4th January, unfortunately.
