    after several false starts of trying to watch it I finally decided to stick with it, I’m currently on series 5, it’s ok innit, it’s better than I thought it was going to be but I couldn’t binge watch it, Characters really aren’t keen on each other are they?

    Didn't get past season 2. Normally I'm all for dragons and tits and floppy prosthetic cocks but I just couldn't get into it.

    Same. I've read all the main books as well as Fire and Blood, and The World of Ice and Fire.

    I might stream the lot when this last series is done with. But it won't be as good as the books.

    Having both read the books and watched the show I would say the show is more like a condescend version. A bit like if you tried to tell the whole story of say the 2nd world war in one hour.

    It’s not bad to be honest. Can’t really stand the ‘it’s beneath me, never seen an episode’ crowd. It is ultimately just crap telly, but it’s pretty good crap telly really. Nothing to write home about but pretty compelling once you get into it and well worth a watch.

    I love it. Not for the dragons, tits and swearing but for the twists and turns of the story - particularly in the first 3 series. The intrigue of what each character was going to do next was top class.

    When the show overtook the books the quality dipped a little, I imagine the producers of it are a little pissed off with Mr Mattin as they've basically had to wing it for the last 2 series.

    I'm a not watcher, but i've got all episodes on dvd ready to tek darn to Caravan, on wed, we will av Thrones and Breaking bad to keep us occupied for a month or 4.
