...is Corbin's driver guilty of failing to stop after an accident where he ran over a BBC camera man injuring him. If anyone else did this and failed to stop they would certainly have commited an offence. I know public figure chauffeurs may take evasive action from a threatening situation but this was not the case here when there were security staff outside the vehicle.

I love the second car driver sounding his horn and someone shoiuting for people to get out of the way of the car when there was someone lying on the ground injured.

Obviously absolutely no blame attached to Corbin nor would it be to any other poliician who is a mere passenger but surely they should have stopped even if it makes him late for his appointment.

He could have got some serious Brownie points for compassion if he had stopped and then returned to see how the injured man was. As it is, he behaved as, I suspect. all politicians would and left the scene. Possibly there is some protocol preventing him from doing so in theses situations - I have no idea..

What are you on about? I ask a simple question about failing to stop and you bang on about a stuck record..
I said it had nothing to do directly with politics or politicians , You seem to be the one that is obsessive about relating every post to politics.

Can you answer the question in the original post. If not why have you bothered replying?

Franky there are only a handful of posters on the BB these days (People like Orsenkat ) who you can have a reasonable debate with.

Not sure what relevance me shouting something like that out has to do with anything. Still if the thought of it makes you happy go for it! I suppose if you did that in Barnsley (in English ) late on a Friday or Saturday night you might get some takers though.

He had his foot run over FFS. Called an ambulance and was stretched away wrapped in blankets.

Laura Kuenssberg in the thick of it.

Just heard on radio he's suffered 2 broken toes and bruising.

No wonder ambulance service is stretched when non life threatening calls are made.

Irrespective of politics, it is an offence; viz. dangerous driving.

The car could not have stopped. It was driven by Scotland Yard driver. Wouldn't risk stopping.

Anybody can make a mistake as the hedgehog said as it crawled off the scrubbing brush.

In fairness the driver did not stand a chance. The photographer was in an enclosed space i.e. a narrow entrance and it looks as though the driver was completely unaware of what he'd done. I bet an apology will be made once they are aware of the guys injuries.

Given recent events I would imagine anyone driving a VIP would be reluctant to stop cos they don't know if it could be a terrorist incident.

Then start a pm conversation with him instead of posting threads with the same tedious agenda that scream "I'm a lonely old man that's bored having moved for the weather" if you're not interested in what anyone else has to say, as a suggestion. :)

In line with what happens when a golfer hits a spectator with a ball I reckon Jeremy will send the bloke a signed copy of the manifesto!
It's not much of a story really. Not even on the BBC site.

Glad I moved away from people like you to be honest and far from being lonely old man have an active social life. It is you that seem to spend your time moaning and responding to my" tedious agenda". I find your communist rantings equally tedious but I don't normally summon up sufficient enthusiasm to comment on them.
Hint: You and your left wing communist clique on here are in the minority. have a good day.

Fair enough. If a Police driver, sounds like he was following protocol. Only made the news as the media were in attendance, one of their own got run over and it was a politician in the car. To be honest I am amazed it doesn happen mopre often when you see the press photographers and paparazzi when they try to get pictures of prisoners speeding in and out of court in prison vans, celebrities, and politicians leaving Downing Street or Parliament in speeding cars. They risk life and limb to get that ' syndicated scoop'

Now if Jeremy had been driving and he swerved to hit the reporter it would have been acceptable. Probably reported as that on Fox.

Oh don't worry Jimmy, by the time that the press have had their turn Corbyn will have been behind the wheel in a Death race 2000 manner. The journo will be a war veteran, overcoming the odds of being a single Father who lost his wife to a terrible accident whilst working her three jobs to put their three no lets say four photogenic children through university... all whilst maintaining a stiff upper lip in a decidedly British way.... Too much ?

    Agree. Fair point.

Like I said I was genuinely not trying to make any political point but was curious as to whether the driver would be bound by law to stop. I did not know that the drivers were all Special Branch/Police although in the current times I did suspect that might be the case. I suppose it was bound to get reported since there were so many media there. Cheap and simple copy for them. Still a bit 'miffed' that a couple on here, once again, took my OP and made it an opportunity to make personal jibes at me.

You forgot the bit where JC was also 'coked up' and had Diane Abbott 'pleasuring him' whilst speeding away (allegedly)

I reckon the OP is currently posting on a political debate forum about the positions Barnsley FC need to recruit for in the next transfer window.
