Thought The London Boys would have been more your Earl Gray George
Your supporting the right team then
Reason I don't go to 20 overs cricket is the "music" so no thank you.
As expected people in this thread are unable to accept that the club has to do some things that they don't enjoy in order to bring some kids in.
Says it all for me that a club media team employee has gone on the side of "I don't like it, so we shouldn't do it."
Truth be told, I don't particularly like it either but I can see that it's something simple that WILL be something for kids to remember and get excited about.
Like it or not, younger people today are exposed to so much American media that things like this are what they are into and what they will enjoy. It's a shame that our club are unable to move forward with the times because "I'd rather hear the fans cheering"
So kids can't get naturally exited about their team scoring unless it's accompanied by a jingle? Sorry mate, I'm not buying it.
Do you like goal music?
Sweet goal music?
What about 'silent disco' style goal music, to please everyone?
Simply hand everyone a headset, upon entering the ground, then in the unlikely event of us scoring, you have the option to pop on the headset and listen to a bit of ABBA, or leave the headset under your seat and punch the air shouting 'Yessss, get f**king in there!!!'.
I'm sure our resident men of music M.C.Peachy and Rapmaster Nutkins could help out.
Goals? 'I remember you' Frank Ifield
That's not what I mean and you know it.
There is an example in the OP about my own experience of goal music and a young fan
Mustn’t grumble by chas and Dave.
