Has left his post as Manager of Scotland " by mutual consent". His Assistant Mark McGee has also gone. Favourite to succeed him is David Moyes.
Any manager would struggle there. They don't have a Kane or Bale level player like us and Wales. They have gone backwards since the 90s when they had decent players like McCallister, McCall, Goram and Hendry.
You know it's a tough task when last week's team news read 'Scotland are hoping that Barry Bannan will be fit'. If a nation has to pin it's hopes on that calibre of player there's little hope for em.
They should have qualified this time, looking at that group. I agree Scottish football has been in decline for a couple of decades. In the late seventies to mid 80's they were way better than England. The lack of competition in Scottish football can't help & there are not too many great role models from recent times to inspire kids I guess, no Souness, Dalgleish, Hansen, etc. I can't see any appointment being a "quick fix" At least England has a few quality players, we just need someone who understands the concept of building a team, rather than picking just a bunch of "stars". Allerdyce was probably the one to do that, if he hadn't been stupid enough to fall for a sting... I have no faith in the current muppet. I wouldn't let him look after my hamster when I go away.
Correct. He has been placed in temporary charge and will carry on his other job as SFA Performance Director as well, until the recruitment process is finally concluded.
SFA Performance Director and Director of Football. HaHaHa. It would appear that Malky has also failed in this job. Why give the racist another? Only In Scotland.
