contacted the owners after Tuesdays game offering to take over first team duties for the last 2 games and that he had the backing of most of the squad who simply don't want to play for Morais. Could be a load of crap but the guy who told me goes to most games home and away on more than just a watching capacity
I don't believe that for a second. I think the squad aren't happy, but don't think that Hammill would do that.
If they really don't want to play for Jose then they should at least play for their own professional pride and for the fans who keep turning up despite an horrendous season.
Some on here think that it’s NOT because the squad are unhappy or that they are disorganised - it’s because they are not up to this league. Which is of course ridiculous. There’s enough talent in this squad to be much further up the league.
Even if they don't want to play for Morais, they should be professional enough to win for us the fans and for their own professionalism. If how much they try is dependent on who is in charge, they don't deserve to be part of our club. I hope it's BS.
I do not believe that about Hammill I do believe that this squad are behind Morais. They have to be demoralised how he operates. They have to be united today and say **** him lets go out and play for the shirt and fans
So do they just ignore the training and coaching and go out and do their own thing on the day? Would be bizarre if true.
A couple of weeks ago Hammill said the whole squad is behind the manager and he's very good with them.He also said fans tend to create rumours when a team is doing poorly its part of the game.So we've had Hammill,McBurnie,Gardner and Davis speak highly of the coach/manager in recent weeks.
Its absolute BS , Hammill is a seasoned enough pro to know that you do not go behind your gaffers back if you have anything to say . I am not surprised by this rumour though as it is always the same , when the team are struggling the ITK brigade are out in force with their gossip , however , in good times you will find that you hardly ever such fabrication
To be fair, for the majority of the last year and a bit the players could have organised themselves without Hecky or Morais and not done any worse.
If I can put my tuppence worth in here. When teams are losing you need players to stand up and be counted not players who look for excuses and blame each other or the manager. It would seem we lack the former and have an abundance of the latter. Has any player come out and said I/we played poorly today and I/we must play better. Have we a leader in the team?
In fairness McBurnie commented after the Forest game that you can't keep blaming the coach once we're over the white line etc
I'm surprised Jose wasn't sacked after Tuesday & Harsley put in charge for the last two. We might just have got a response. As he's a dead man walking, given GG's comments, if we (most likely) go down that would have made sense to me. That in no way let's the players off the hook, just 10 points from 13 games is not good enough.
