Sorry for being in the dark, does anyone know what is going on with the West Stand, at the moment? I drove past today and the Gable Ends are still uncovered, with no sign of work. Also, the Queens Rd car park looked untidy. Could the joint owners, not improve it somewhat? The reason being that visitors to the Metrodome and the Club, gain an impression of the town, from being in it.
Sorry it's a bit negative and there are more things to worry about.

There are about a thousand things that need doing. None will be.

It looks an embarrassing **** hole from a distance.

They've left the gable ends open so the pigeon's can fly out easier.

Other than the debacle and eventual replacement of the large tele screen - can you tell me how the ground and facilities have progressed and improved while Pat has had hold of the reins?

    We've got dedicated condiment stations.

    Have that :)

Like I've said - I just hope they don't develop the men's urinals in the West Stand.
There's some interesting ferns growing on the walls in there.
    Be shame to lose them.

Doesn't the stadium belong to BMBC as well as Mr. C.?

They painted the Ponty End bogs about five years ago.

I've been on plenty of concourses during my time but few are as depressing as ours. Mind, it's not like the club give a **** about the fans.

So the ground is having improvements and it looks like a building site, what a surprise!

I have to laugh when I hear that the west stand only needs a lick of paint to tidy it up.....it's only the paint that holds it up....it's an eyesore it wants flattening ......at least under JD he put the transfer money into ground improvements...ie East stand if nothing else......

Thing is there were grants available at the time.I think to knock down and rebuild would cost around 7/8m.

We got a grant for the East Stand. Not for Ponty and North.
