    Hey up lads,

I know there's quite a few on here that visit Germany for the football so I am wondering if somebody could give me some tips on where to go in Hamburg on stag doo.

its mid July when we go so there's no football matches worth going to or anything like that.

we were supposed to have a guide but we hit a hitch with the stag doo company that were organising it so we have arranged the flights and digs on our own instead so we don't have a guide to show us the best/hidden spots

is there anywhere apart from the reaperbahn we should be looking at to go for a pint or ten?

    Cheers Dave

well you may like to try a change of venue and go to Dusseldorf... the ' Altstadt' (the old town) is tremendous.

Go to the Reeperbhan/St Pauli district and you can't go wrong for a stag do.

You've probably got lucky that you've ditched or been ditched by a company to organise a stag do for you, not needed at all!

Hamburg is massive, and offers literally everything. Some beautiful bars and restaurants at the harbour to the seedy side around St. Pauli. We have/had a poster who lived or lives in Hamburg, not sure if he still posts though.

You'll also probably get a few pre season friendlies, as the 2nd league(St Pauli) kick off at the end of the month, so keep your eye out.

You could get a group ticket on the trains which would work out at pennies per person, but it's a good 4 hour journey, we did it direct from Dusseldorf to Hamburg in March.

When you get off the train/metro in Hamburg you should see signs for "Beatlesplatz"

The area around the main train station is a proper shithole, can't say it's somewhere I'd want to hang around for too long.

We were walking past an ahem establishment in Hamburg. Lads coming out said they been fleeced. Asked for for beers and got flounced for €100. Apparently he was supposed to ask for the prices and then choose.
There are working girls all over the reaperbahn and they do pester you a lot.

I thought the Rieperbahn was a proper dog hole. Spent most of the stag doo in the Tankstelle and London Bar (proper tourist me) and they were 'basic' to say the least. Id recommend steering clear of the 'lappers' in Rieperbahn, some of the lads got proper ripped off in one (€130 for a glass of champagne) We went to watch Hamburg against Hoffenheim and I thought that was tip top, fans mixing together close to the ground all boozing enjoying the atmosphere without a hint of trouble.
Red light bit is bang across from the Tankstelle...... Er...I was reliabley informed☺

Reeperbahn is a massive shithole mate, but always full of tourists and stag dos. Cheap beer and a cheap night out if you avoid the "services"

IMG_3537.JPG Worst 5 days of my life lol. Got a text from mate a few month before we were going saying he'd fecked up and booked 4 nights instead of 3

We went in April and it was freezing cold and snowing all week.

We were booked into 2 **** holes off Reeperbahn in the st Pauli district. Which was an absolute dump. Every we're you went was grotty as ****.

There was 40 of us and we did have a really good laugh but after 3 nights we all couldn't wait to get home.

The novelty of constantly being nagged at and grabbed by prossies on the street soon wears off lol

Ideally we would have been in the city of Hamburg its self and spent a Night or 2 at Reeperbahn but to be based there day and night was a nightmare.

Not saying I wouldn't go but we defo did it wrong
