    The Mrs is badgering me but I'm not sure if I fancy it. Any reassurance from anyone who has had the procedure ?(ideally within the last few years and not two bricks in a back street clinic)

    Will my knackers hurt ?

    I had it done twenty years ago, mate, and had no problems. Until the anaesthetic wore off! I was in pain for about a day and yes, they hurt.

    Yep. Op was painless, but they sprayed some kind of antiseptic gel on afterwards to protect things which stung like ****.

    I had it done and while the actual operation was pretty painless the injections were very painful indeed.

    Yes. I found them excruciating but the nurse said that some blokes didn't find them as painful.

    Mate of mine had it done and chewed through too many painkillers which ended up blocking him up constipation wise. He then strained too hard and ended up tearing his arsehole

    Chances are all the blokes in this thread have put their women through far worse pain and permanent damage to their bodies.
    I suggest you use tea tree oil as a pain killer. ;-)

    I was snipped in '91. The op was done under a general anisthetic. I didn't fancy being awake while they poked around.

    No bother at all. Obviously everything a bit tender but nothing to really bother about. Back at work the following day. The stitches in my scrotum just dissolved after a few days. I asked the doctor how soon I'd have to wait until I was ready to have sex. He just said you'll know when the time is right.
    I was done on a Thursday and got my leg over Saturday night. Was a little strange thinking on what would happen when I came. LOL

    I had it done on Friday 13th august 1993. Didn't hurt at all even when the anesthetic wore of it was only a bit uncomfortable. Mind you my balls swelled up and turned black for a few weeks.

    I had it done about 10 years ago, went for the full anaesthetic, wasn't in too much pain afterwards although they do give you plenty of pain killers, it certainly wasn't as bad as I had feared.......

    The best bit was getting told to have plenty sex so as to flush out any wee sperms.

    But the embarrassing bit was handing your samples into the clinic. The nurses knew you've just had a ham shank to provide it.

    Must have had it done 30 years ago.

    Felt a right idiot when bloke came to give me the injection and I rolled up my sleeve! "Not there mate!" He said laughing.

    And then the surgeon was a woman! Asked my opinion on something while operating and I agreed wholeheartedly! Wasn't going to upset her while she fiddled around down there!

    As the others have said, a bit sore after, but not for long.
