John Hopkinson of Worsbrough Brass. Had him last year too. A big reds fan and a superb player. Booked him for next year already!

If he was playing the traditional bugle then that is a difficult instrument to play - and I've never heard it played as good as that.

It sounded fantastic. There was a slight bit of confusion though as it was announced the silence would begin and end on the ref's whistle but he didn't blow for either. I remember that happened last year too.

I've heard The Last Post played many many times during my military career and yesterday's was as good as any I've heard when I was in the Army.

The one I heard on the radio before the Sunderland game was very poor.

The referee was meant to blow his whistle, then John was to play before the referee again blew his whistle. So the ref was at fault. John just decided to start playing thankfully.

He made a habit of not blowing his whistle at the right time during the game as well.

I thought it was the most touching minute's silence I've ever heard at Oakwell. The playing of The Last Post was immaculate.
