Bellew, I suppose. Haye fought with some kind of ankle problem for five rounds. Very hard to give Bellew any credit whatsoever.

Both of them conned the public with fake hatred to sell the fight and David Haye even more now is the Darren Anderton of Boxing with the amount of injuries he's had to cancel fights or use as a reason for a defeat.

Talking up a rematch that's not needed. Time the bloated cruiserweight who couldn't knock out a one legged opponent without a proper fight for at least five years gets a title shot off someone.

    Thanks for the replies

I'm no boxing fan so never thought of finding out the result. It was only the media coverage which made me remotely interested.

I feel so sorry for those who paid to watch such ****.

I watched it for free on my Kodi box and I feel ripped off.

Not sure why anyone would feel cheated. That was a highly entertaining fight. Absolutely loved it, especially the first five rounds. Was completely gripping stuff as soon as it became obvious that Haye was looking for that one punch KO and that Bellew wasn't going to run all night. Edge of your seat. Bizarre ending but same level as Brook v Golovkin, just at a heavier weight where less punches are naturally thrown.

Criticism for not knocking Haye out earlier is uncalled for. Bellew was stepping up in weight, carrying extra weight, and wasn't sure how bad Haye's injury was. Haye could stick duck and weave, was still throwing bombs now and again, and Bellew had to be wary after that onslaught in around 7 where he nearly punched himself out. How many punches you can throw in anger with an extra stone of weight on is limited but he didn't know that.

They still hate each other. Every fight ends in a love in as it should do. The post fight press conference wasn't like that though. And remember that Bellew didn't say anything straight after the fight that he wasn't saying before the fight. He's been praising Haye as an athlete all week and building him up as a monster. Haye is the fraud here.

Haye was clearly injured pre-fight, he flew out to Munich mid-week to see a specialist.

Obviously he still felt he could win the fight with an injury but when his Achilles' tendon ruptured in the 5th it was game over.

What was bizarre to me was Sky afterwards who were completely ignoring the injury.

I can't help but think they knew all about Haye's injury & are worried about some sort of backlash & people wanting refunds.

Haye probably retires now, it's a long road back from that injury at 36.

No idea what Bellew does, it was an incredible win for him but he has no business at heavyweight, he lost every round up until the injury got worse in the 5th & couldn't finish a one legged fighter.

They never hated each other. It's all an act.

Bellew created a fake rivalry with Haye to get paid millions in a fight he'd be a huge underdog in rather than face his mandatory challenger at cruiserweight Breidis who's a hell of a fighter but unknown where Bellew would've also been a huge underdog & would've earned a much smaller purse against.

I'm convinced he expected to lose last night & then retire as all he's talked about was securing his families financial future & how he doesn't know what he wants to do next

When they talk bad about eachother they're "conning the public with fake hatred" when they're respectful like Anthony Joshua he's a "boring robot"
    Some people just love moaning.

Hard fight to watch, seeing someone fight when they're obviously injured.

And you know this how? The rivalry isn't fake. Possibly on Haye's part who has conned the public and completed a complete u-turn, but Bellew is still talking the same game.

He's hardly said he doesn't know what to do next. He's just got a ridiculous amount of options now.

As for Breidis being a hell of a fighter. Let's wait and see on that one once the level of competition increases. Definitely got skills, but still a lot of questions on him.

enjoyed the fight last night, still think it haye didn't hurt his leg in the 6th he would have ended up knocking bellew out, but it worked out for me last night as I put £5 on bellew to beat haye between rounds 10-12 and got odds of 50/1 so ended up with a nice £255 from that bet

Bellew always liked Haye until he spotted an opportunity to get another Sky Box Office fight.

He used to post on boxing forums about how much he liked & respected Haye.
He let slip in interviews that they discussed Bellew boxing on Haye's undercards on Dave tv channel to get the rivalry going. This was over a year ago.

All best pals straight after the fight. Both know how to play the game, the two best salesmen in British boxing.

As for Breidis, Bellew didn't want anything to do with him. Last night was the second time they've paid step aside money to avoid the fight. The first time was on Bellew's last undercard when Breidis stopped one of Bellew's main sparring partners Simon Valily in two rounds.

Bellew's been saying for a while he doesn't think he'll fight much longer after the Goodison Park fight.

Like he said straight after 'the main thing is I've secured my families future'. I just don't think he expected it to be with a victory.

I don't think Haye had any choice but to fight on Saturday night, he'd already got a bad reputation due to been injury prone & if he wanted the Joshua fight he couldn't afford to pull out injured again. I believe he thought he didn't need to be anywhere near a 100% to win.

It's all about selling PPV's. Controversy sells.

Joshua's doing great at the minute but if he loses & people lose interest I've no doubt we'll see a different side to him to get the interest back.
