Friend of mine went to Mansfield and said that the Lincoln fans were taunting the Mansfield fans by shouting "scab" at them. Am I missing something obvious ?
The Notts miners were from Mansfield, in Nottinghamshire? Where there's actually coal, as opposed to Nottingham itself like some of our mongoloid fans think? Why Lincoln fans would be affected by that I don't know though.
And here’s me thinking Nottingham was in Nottinghamshire. Oh, there were pits quite close to The City of Nottingham.
You're not allowed to know that you know. And if you do know that you're a mongoloid apparently. Can't wait for his next amazing terminology, be defending Thatcher and the tories next probably.
They seem to get on well:- https://www.lincolnshirelive.co.uk/sport/sport-opinion/late-goals-bust-ups-promotion-2645847
Bugger me they must have put all them gear heads and muck stacks there as decoys near Nottingham city centre then just to fool us pickets . And all the while it were Just Mansfield well I’ll be
It’s just a football chant something to rile up their fans . Just as it is for Barnsley fans , most younguns haven’t seen a pit but Notts fans sing you’ll never work again whilst Barnsley fans sing scab . It’s just football banter. There is a deeper meaning to it in the distant past and most like me will never forget but it’s as I say-a football chant just like Hartlepools getting called monkey hangers etc . The Lincoln fans will just be riling them up as it’s well known a lot of Notts miners worked and were called scabs. As a side note Sunderland,Newcastle ,Leeds , Wednesday,Cardiff and a few others also give the forrest ans the scab chant .
