I think the point that he should've expected some form of verbals is fair. If it were me, I'd be fully expecting some stick and I would certainly have thought about bringing others, certainly the first time returning to test the reaction. Not saying its to be condoned, but we've all seen irrational abuse handed out to a whole host of ex players, managers, opponents and fans over the years. It would be completely naïve to think a path of rose petals and a clean seat devoid of bird droppings would await his return without a word said.

I assume he will have been mixing business with pleasure , his team play us this week , therefore it is not unusual for a manager to scout the opposition & the fact that his daughter is probably a reds fan then taking her to a match should not be a problem , whatever people think about the guy , he should be able to attend a match with his family & not encounter problems from numpties
