shame about sessi , he looked promising in the games i watched him play . good luck to him on his recovery
Gutted for the lad. Looked a proper trier and with a good bit of skill in the flashes we saw. Good luck on his recovery. Hopefully he makes a full and speedy recovery. Looks the type to battle back
He's able to put weight on and run following his operation. After being misdiagnosed and hung out to dry by Lee Johnson M.d I think we should all give him some support and get behind him. His career was nearly ****ed completely by our former manager.
Last I heard was that he was nowhere near resuming training yet and not expected to be back training while January at the earliest. This isn't official though, just what I've been told.
Far be it from me to defend that shithouse but I'm sure he'd have been going on the opinion of the medical staff
Going to be testing few days for everyone concerned with BFC. To some extent the outcome of our season could be determined by the activity before next Weds. We have a first team which is more than capable of competing at this level but our squad is simply not big enough to cover any absences of our key players. I suspect clubs like Wigan and Chesterfield are holding us to ransom with the knowledge we have significant funds available - we all knew this would happen. We need 5 more players (possibly 6 if Mawson goes) which is a hell of an undertaking over a short time. Personally I like both Aribyi and Morsa, who would add much to the squad. I think Isgrove remains a distinct possibility but Fletcher is a no go now. Varela at Man U might be a possibility to cover the full back shortage, as they are shipping out all their young talent. Callum Connelly could cover a number of positions and doesn't seem to be featuring in the first team squad at Everton at the moment. They are looking for another RB so I'm guessing he's way down the pecking order. As far as the type of striker we need, I'm struggling to think of anyone who would be affordable and available - others on here might have ideas I haven't thought of. Kevin Long wouldn't be the worst signing but he seems to be Burnley's 4th CB at the moment. Much could depend on their activity with that position, given Leicester's intent to buy Michael Keane. If we were depart from our Plan to get more experience in the squad CB would be the position to do it. Complicated old business, this football management lark......
The medical advice at the time (and free for anyone to correct me as this is only second hand), was supposedly that the scans were inconclusive but given the pain Ryan was suffering when running and turning then there was something wrong. Johnson went public to say it was sometimes "mental" issues with players. Proceeded to have Ryan training through pain, picked him for a match, and then banished him. As it turns out there was something wrong which needed an operation to correct the pelvic alignment. He was well and truly hung out to dry by Johnson, which you can tell just by reading some posters comments on here.
Re Ryan Williams. I had to take a relative to the area just before lunch on Monday and while I was waiting took the opportunity to have a stroll near the training pitches. It looked as though Ryan Williams had just been doing some work with Nathan Winder, who left. Ryan then did some light work with Stefan Payne and Marley Watkins, which consisted of one touch control and shots in from the edge of the penalty area. (Considering there was no goalkeeper, a bit worrying how often each of them missed!) Otherwise though, Ryan looked fit and well. I heard him say "four weeks, mate" to one of the others, which may or may not have been in regard to how long he is off resuming full training. Given the current strength of our squad it will surely be of assistance to have him back in contention. At any rate, I can at least now say I've seen more of him than I did Phil Gridelet!
Hope it works out for Williams. Sessi is a blow - thought he'd end up a good player! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
So he didn't ignore advice not to play him and refused to believe there was a problem? And went public to suggest it was a mental block?
Who advised him not to play him? If Johnno had asked me I would have advised him not to bother as it would have been a complete waste of time, but did anyone do it on medical grounds?
