I'd be more than a bit concerned if he did go then come January we'd see a noticeable interest in our better players..... from a Sunderland direction.
    Didn't Lee Johnson try this?

    Two responses to that..
if Johnson had come in for our players I thought we were supposed to be the sort of club who would sell them for peanuts.
secondly, I was under the impression we didnt have any good players any more.

He wanted Hammill who decided to stay and also recruited Brownhill who we never tried to get.

There were also rumours linking him with Watkins but again by then he wasn’t our player.

Agreed. So, like I say, we didn't sell anybody to him.

No, but we all know he was sniffing around.

If Hecky goes to Sunderland he is going to want the best players to do a job for him there.

I suspect one or two of our back four may fit that particular bill, if nobody else.

I doubt it - Only Yids would be on his radar in that case but he wants to go and play in the Prem so will be going to a premiership side in Jan not Sunderland whoever is in charge

Sunderland fans already noticed that our defence is a bit leaky so it would be a PR masterstroke to go and sign one of our defenders and elsewhere I dont think we currently have the stand out players like Hourihane and Winnall this time (with the exception of Barnes and Williams but they arn't ours anyway)

"Leaky" is surely an improvement on what they've got though?

Of course not - another one who's full of it but can't back it up when challenged.
