    That's true and the present directors have always chosen excellent managers.
    In my opinion there hasn't been a bad manager in the last 10 years.
    The problems that those managers have had is retaining the better players through poorly constructed contracts.
    Vaz Te was a prime example of that - a player that couldn't get a club because he had problems with his legs was put on a contract where he pulled the strings - and consequently walking out of the door for next to nowt.
    And it just keeps happening.
    Barnsley will not be successful or have a bright future if this problem is not solved.

    Is 8 points off playoffs in championship not successful then? With crowds of 11-12k?

    Glad you're using such recent examples like Vaz Te to make your point. Nothing's changed in the last 5 years has it. Except a couple of chief execs, a few managers, complete playing squad, a relegation and a promotion, and a couple of wins at Wembley. Nothing like solid, recent, examples to back up an argument.
