Agreed and stop starting kent before hammil/hedges and my 5 year old son can give it a go at left back if we're that short elder is our only option.

He's right to try out different players now and get them game time. The season is over. A relief of course given pre-season fears but a disappointing reality given what might have been.

I wish we would keep it simple and just pick our best available XI. I hope Hecky isn't stumbling down the same path as Flitcroft did. He tried to be too clever after Survival Saturday, instead of sticking to the game plan which had worked for him.

I still dont think he (Hecky) knows what he wants and what his best team is at the moment. Its shocking to see this happen almost all of a sudden as well, once again I suppose we can all pinpoint this back to January.

You're right, he doesn't as it's basically a new side!

I wouldn't disagree about that except to say that, if that's the case, why are we persisting with Kent and Armstrong when neither is our player?

Hecky is doing his best with his hands tied behind his back.
The board fecked him over and upped his workload over the January period. Lost players we haven't replaced, and still haven't got contracts sorted out for our current players. It's such a shame because in Hecky we have the best manager at Barnsley for a long time. He isn't being backed correctly.

The two obvious replacements were on the bench tonight, namely Hammill and Bradshaw. I admit Hammill hasn't had the greatest of seasons but he came on and looked lively against Huddersfield and created the opening for the equaliser and was apparently lively tonight. Bradshaw did what Armstrong struggled to do and found the back of the net tonight.

We beat Villa 3-1 and we've not played the same team since. Mowatt must be good in training cos he's nowhere near as good as Moncur. Bradshaw should start every time as well. Pick your strongest team - simple as that.

Hammill definitely played well when he came on.

In my opinion, It wouldn't surprise me in the least, if during the summer some club came in for Hecky and he up sticks and went...The board havent played fair and have been caught lacking in many ways and once again in my opinion they have pulled the rug from under him ...ask yourselves this.. would you in his position be happy that the board dont match your heights of ambition and just when you were in touching distance of making a play off spot with a team you had playing well
Your team suddenly has its heart ripped out of it and is broken up and not replaced....sooner or later if you feed in the other problems hes faced the question arises why bother, nobody above me appears to want to progress further..The owner is on to a winner all round if it all goes tits up he sells the land and.... houses or retail units appear....God forbid...once again this is not a knee jerk reaction to a defeat....
At some point, many will reach the stage of taking the rose tinted glasses off that we kid ourselves in to believing that everything is hunky dory
it might not be now young uns. but trust me there will come a time when you ask yourselves why bother and question your support...empty seats week in week out , quite a few belonged to die hard reds, who over the years have scratched **** on it and stayed away ...like ive said many a time The board of Barnsley Football club shoot themselves in the foot too many times for it to be a coincidence ....This post may upset one or two and i guess some will disagree but off the field in my opinion nothing changes to advance our club further up the pecking order...Happy to tread water ....happy with its lot.....You might as well watch paint dry if that rocks your boat because sooner or later folk will vote with their feet and find other activities to occupy their time on match days and those frustrations will get angrier and angrier ....
The above is only my opinion and whilst my rose coloured specs are in the draw, i do feel that the club let not only themselves down but they fail the many loyal supporters who stick with them through thick and thin. I fail to understand the short term attitude that appears to engulf our clubs attitude and yet gets wheeled out as a long term plan dressed up for supporters to buy into.....this seasons not over but unless there is a vast change in attitude off the field of play then i fear not only for our future in this league but our long term future to exist as a football club.
Thats my opinion for what its worth....
