After reading this on 'News Now Barnsley' I would say that he's going to give the Barnsley directors a chance - but if they don't deliver he'll be gone. Can the Barnsley directors deliver - I don't think so because basically they haven't enough money or nous to compile player contracts that are more beneficial to the club.
I wouldn't read too much into that statement. I would have thought it was pretty standard for any manager to want to be judged on a settled team of players of his own choosing rather than keep starting from scratch. None of us fans want to see players being replaced every two minutes either, but that doesn't mean we're going to go look for another club or just withdraw our support.
