well overall Ryan did get 90 minutes and put in a good shift, he stood out as one of the better players for Wales. T&T may not be a huge standard but I think it will have done Hedges a good boost confidence wise. A start and the full 90 minutes too. Also Davies got on for the second half, did not have a lot to do..... but a clean sheet for his 45 ... that should boost him too.
Hedges was the BBC's man of the match Man of the match - Ryan Hedges (Wales) The Barnsley winger was Wales' most reliable source of creativity, running at opposition defenders and crossing well from the left
Seriously, I hope this gives him the confidence to kick on for the rest of the season. On the face of it, it looked like we were losing two players for a useless match (and to some degree we have). That said Thiam could do with some competition, as does Bahre, given it looks like Cam is going to have to go back to playing deeper, so could work out for the best. Nice to see Adam get a bit of game time too for his country. I'm convinced he'll be off at the end of the season, getting a decent signing on fee with a "bigger club". Given his form I cannot work out how he didn't get a start. If he was warming Derby, or Villa's bench he'd have had a better chance of being selected no doubt. Anyway, if he can keep up his amazing form to the end of the season, whatever he decides he will leave with best wishes from me, he's been a good servant over the years.
It's a strange one with Hedges, he seems well down the pecking order these days. It's obvious Stendel isn't keen, maybe his attitude in training has been poor, I don't know. I'm not his biggest fan I have to admit and he is very injury prone but I think he could probably do a job behind Woodrow in a 4-4-1-1 formation. He's certainly got more of a goal threat to him than Bahre.
