    two different types of player

both exceptional for us, and both forever legends. I cannot make a choice on this one , as both totally awed me.

I don't think many would argue that Hignett was the more skillfull of the two and a lot of Redders goals were penalties ... but perhaps on emotional grounds only I just couldn't bring myself to say that anyone was better for us than our talismanic top tier captain.

Remember Redders turning out in a legends team that had the promotion side against someone else one pre-season (anyone remember who - its driving me mad); picked the ball up just outside the centre circle, turned, short ten yard run and wallop - straight into the top corner - everyone in the ground saw it coming except the keeper.

So I have to say Redders but Higgy was a bloody good player too.

Redfearn captained us to the premiership, didn't look out of place there and gave us a lot of years of wonderful service. Hignett was with us for no time at all and played for us outside the top flight.

As great as Hignett was as the Glavin/Redders/Hourihane of his decade, he's no Redders.

Hignett was the more exciting player.

But Redfearn is a true Barnsley legend- and that's why I think he should be working with Hecky
