That lack of qualify on the final third let us down.

Kane was the standout player for me.

Cotter could be a cracking if he’s coached well over the next 12 months.

John Russell player well again, noting extravagant but always there to receive the ball.

Young lads tried their nuts off and it’s pleasing to see some academy lads on the pitch.

Special mention to Sheperd, takes really balls to stand up and take a penalty, even more so given fact where he’s come from too……..

Tranmere took here penalties away really well too……

Referee……..what a fuking total tosspot, a think we’ve another long season of absolute knob jockeys referring us again…….

And this added time…………if they’re Guna piss about this why not see how rugby do it and try to copy that?

There would be even more added time mate. Average time the ball is in play in league one is just 48 minutes

Thought Russell looked very strong tonight and comfortable on the ball.

Kane was class made it look easy

Anyone know why Lopata was booked ... strange one

Did he ask for a card for the Tranmere player?

New rules say players can't ask the referee "are you going to book him ref?"

He must have said something- he couldn't have been time wasting because ref wanted to speak to their player before free kick was taken

I always hated seeing that, where players would get involved and do that gesture to the ref. Like they were taking a card out of their chest pocket, and demanding a yellow or red.

I think so, but that should not have stopped him booking the tranmere player who did deserve a booking, but as always attempting to cripple a player is a less offence than name calling or signalling something.. plus i don't think the liner on west side got anything right all night
