I just feel for those reds fans....

    I just feel for those reds fans who are missing out on this great run after they ripped up their season tickets and said they were finished with the club. Many calls for owners to leave. And suggestions many of squad would never be good enough.

    Struber and Stendal both won support of fans after positive run. But they were not getting results on the pitch in the end. Then deflected blame from them to owners for lack of investment and quality of squad.

    Meanwhile Big Val arrives and works with same players and getting results. Playing without fear, and as a squad. Everyone in the side can be replaced by another who can come in and do a job. We look assured in all areas and under Val everyone to a man has improved. Hope it continues. COYR!

    The squad is totally different and benefits greatly from experience compared to when stendel was thrown under the bus with kids

    Let's see how Val gets on in the Premier when we lose our back 4 and Alex Mowatt and replace them with kids from abroad who've never even played in the Championship let alone the Premier league.

    I will credit the owners with employing good managers but we very nearly screwed up, and that would have been down to them.

    It's not like we've not been a selling club before. Since I started watching in 1972 we've flogged the family silver at times to keep the ship afloat, build new toilets etc :)
    Just happy to enjoy good times such as now

    These players are maturing. 25, 26yearsold , when is a player in the prime of his footballing life?

    There have been a lot decisions made by owners, coaches and recruiters which now look to be inspired. (think of Gauthier who went to Bury and bought a kid and left him there so that Bury were comfortable with the deal). Brilliant.

    Lol... Survival is big achievement this season after the poor start we had under previous management with same squad of players.

    Stendal did very well in league 1. And by all accounts is a top bloke. But not convinced given time and resources he would matched feat of Big Val this year. I hoped he would do well up north but fizzled out. Wish him every success for future.

    Only concern is that Vals success will not go unnoticed by premier league chairman and other European sides. Keeping hold of him may be our toughest batted come the end of the season.

    We wouldn't lose them if we went up. They didn't tell Lindsay and Pinnock to go treble their wages at other clubs, it was the players thats had their heads turned.

    Leave them be, Lindsay will be back in league 1 soon and Pinnock will have another failed promotion.

    Disappointing that you can't just enjoy what is happening without the need to point score. We stayed up last season by the skin of our teeth and have changed the strategy since that period too. The owners have changed it and it is fantastic what we are doing.

    Everyone wants the best for the club.

    but if we did, Val would be in a similar position, that's the point I'm making. Anyway, I'm hoping lessons have been learned and things are more settled now..

    The best this clubs looked for 20 years, lets hope they sort the stadium because that looks neglected at the moment.

    Hopefully they pay what they owe, take the option to buy the ground and use some of the Prem money to improve it!
