almost at the end of the season and if some players read these BBs where they are constantly told they are not 'good enough' for the Championship the mindset changes. Let's face it, talks of a 'clearout' if we stay up i.e. most will be out of a job if we do is hardly motivation to try hard, whereas the talk that most will be decent players at a lower level in Div 1 menas they will still be playing. Could that be a reason for the lack of motivation from certain players rather than lack of man management skills at the club? Just a thought.
No, can't have that Mr Tekktyke. We all know of lads who have been on the fringe of the professional game but have not made it. Let's face it, which of us wouldn't have loved to have been able to have done that for a living? It's cutthroat, and as well as a lot of skill you need a lot of luck. Right time, right place, and all that. But you also have to have a determination to be the best and prove yourself at the level at which you've been given a chance. I don't think there's any room for being too sensitive - you're in the public eye and it is the fans that are paying your wages. Concentrate, try harder, and make a name for yourself. Look at Jamie Vardy, for instance.
Advice for all professional footballers. Unless you have a very thick skin or you play for Man City, Wolves or Accrington - do not read fan's forums - you will not like what you see. Apart from that - keep your bloody beaks out. Forums are for fans not players.
End of the day though three really poor mistakes cost us Potts pass for their first Mills pitiful defending for their second Moore’s miss And probably yet another poor refereeing decision when Hammill should have been given a pen
Also dont go hiding under the table in the mount at 5pm after another loss. You won't like what you hear there either. Or sitting on a bus with a hoodie pulled hiding your face. Or in the bogs at half time etc.
Mills' defending for the first was pathetic too and he tried his best to gift them a goal early on. Jackson, pinnock, Lindsay, Pearson, mills. In that order. I've probably missed some too
Well if he is reading this. Mr Moncur you lack of effort and willingness to fight when not is possession is shameful. You clearly have some ability if only you backed it up with some graft you would go much further. To everyone else I don't blame you for not been good enough this season the vast majority of you were brought from lower leagues and it was always going to be tough.
Or a few home truths from the people that love the club, were here before them and will be here long after they have gone, will give them a kick up the jacksey for the next three games? A chance for them to use how pissed off they are at what they have read on here that they want to prove us wrong? That they think if they stay up they have more chance of playing championship football next season either here or somewhere else? If we have wallflowers who read this board and because they don't like what they read plan on downing tools and not caring about our situation, then we don't want them anyway.
Im totally against the idea of players turning it on and off just when it suits them. And getting the monk on and refusing to play because of what they've seen about themselves on social media, well thats just ridiculous and they don't deserve to be here if thats the case.
