    I appreciate with players they have to wait until everything is signed ( and they may well be spotted at a club beforehand) but they should have released a statement in these circumstances before the rumours started.

    Surely the time to do that is before (if he was sacked)
    Or immediately after his resignation ( if he walked)

    I could write it for them , regret season isn't going as well as hoped and time for a new start before it's too late and thanking Daniel for the promotion etc etc.
