whats even more worrying is that

Im really struggling to understand the boards position, it's a results driven business and any other club would have sacked him months ago. No doubt we will hear the argument that changing managers doesn't work. It certainly did for Birmingham Coventry and Doncaster.

Add on Bury Rochdale Wigan, Peterboro now Blackburn, Crystal Palace, Liverpool Sunderland Leicester, and more who are all doing better than in the past.Wilson was sacked with no where near as bad a performance.
This is not whether Johnson is any good, it is the Board not willing to spend the money needed to get shut.
No thought of the fans who have to watch it.

Without the fans the club would cease to exist.

The voices of the fans count for **** all it would appear!

We've set out our stall by handing him a 3 year contract so there's no sense in shouting for his head after each game we don't win.

It will cost us money we don't have to get rid. Then we're back to square one in terms of searching for the next schlub who is daft enough to take hold of the poisoned chalice. Then we've got the whole rebuilding of the squad to get through while he brings in his own players and lets go the ones he doesn't like the look of which will cost us even more money we don't have, most likely shopping in the loan market which we know isn't ideal but it will be a necessary evil.

Collectively we've been clamouring for a break in the cycle of sacking managers for flirting with relegation for years and years, and now it's finally happening and we're sticking by someone, folk are bashing the club because we're going through a rough patch - and that is all it is - we're even on our way out of the rough patch as far as we can tell, we've picked up 4 points from 9 as opposed to 0 from the previous 24. Is now really the time to be shouting for the sack, when we're just starting to pick up points again?

Johnsons going nowhere neither is PC or Mansford in fact only people going anywhere will be the fans who when the inevitability of relegation comes will be leaving in their droves

A rough patch? Worst spell in history
Coming out of a rough patch? Your having a laugh.
Cost money to get rid? Cost a lot more than that when we're relegated.

    Need I go on?

Jesus get your head out your arse kid. For most, certainly me, it isnt about each game we dont win, its the way we dont win them, playing almost unwatchable football. How can anyone think this is the guy to take us forward? We are most certainly not coming out the rough patch after beating a poor oldham side (most of which is johnsons) and a last minute equaliser at home, we'll struggle to get 40 points if he remains. We should have got shut 7/8 weeks ago, it's absolute madness to keep this drip on just for the sake of keeping stats down on how many managers we sack.

Most of us would advocate giving the manager time. LJ has had plenty. We've 4 points out of the last 9, but it has to stay as good as that or better over Christmas. If we lose another few in succession, or even 3 out of the next 4, then what argument is there for sticking with him? Whatever happens though I think he'll be allowed to bring in a few more players in January. If we continue to fail beyond that, only then will the board pull the trigger.

    Agree with all this.

Sacking managers has got us where we are today. It's f.cking mental to suggest the best thing to do is to get another in right now.

He's like the captain of the Titanic, steering the ship straight towards an iceberg and he doesn't know how to change course, poor man.

You don't just stick with a bad manager though because of mistakes made in the past.

OK, so we sack him. What next to guarantee immediate success?

I'm yet to read any sensible plans and reasoned arguments to support them from anyone on here that go beyond pulling the trigger.

You can't say "let's sack him now" or "we should have sacked him ages ago" but wash your hands of any other important decisions that would immediately follow because "that's the boards job". If folk are sticking their neck out enough to advocate sacking LJ, they should also have the brass neck to say what should happen thereafter because sacking him alone will not pull us out of the bottom four.
