The chap that by know is back in the algarve selling deck chairs.because he is not a football manager
The new coach will want a clean slate to work with . A lot of the current players have too much negative baggage so will probably move on to pastures new and rightly so . I think next season will be transitional and mid table at best . Then hopefully a push for promotion the year after . Can't wait !
So if you're Chinese you're a chinky, if you are Portuguese you must be a deckchair salesman. I dread to think what you'll call the new boss if he loses a game
He’s been at Man U, Tottenham, Palace and Standard Liege so maybe he has a decent agent that could get him a club? In all seriousness though, I think he gets a lot of stick but isn’t as bad as what people make him out to be. I think a season (or maybe 2) in league 1, where he isn’t up against top championship wingers every week, could do his confidence the world of good and then hopefully he’d push on from there. I just don’t think he’ll fancy league 1 though.
I think he is absolutely diabolical. Slightly better than Tom Kennedy. At a push. His agent will be a miracle worker if he gets him a championship club.
I think with his list of previous clubs, I was expecting slightly better from him. However, when you compare him to the list of (terrible) left backs we’ve had over the last few years like McEvely, Dudgeon, George Smith, Elder, Kpekawa I think he’s comfortably above those guys.
Look how many games he had played by the age of 25 though. Nowhere near enough. I'd say McEvely and George Smith were better than him. Elder and Dudgeon were loanees. Kpekwa looked ***** but if memory serves he played less games so had less chance to show what he could do - which was probably bugger all tbf.
When you shuffle off this mortal coil, whatever is swishing abart in your skull - please donate it to medical science.
I definitely agree he’s not played enough. Which is why he needs a successful season with us playing 35/40 games. McEvely I can take your opinion on board as he was solid enough. Not sure about George Smith though, admittedly he was young with us but he’s probably at his level right now. The rest, regardless of loan, were not to Fryers’ standard in my opinion.
No it’s not staggering, or remotely surprising. If you are absolutely staggered as your post suggest then you really should get out more. Players wanting to continue to play at a level that other people believe they are not good enough to play at is not new or uncommon. Jeez.
What would getting out more achieve in relation to understanding BFC players and their wages demands?
