If Davies had 2 years on his contract left what transfer value would you put on him? I'd offer him a new long term deal I think he's good now but will get better.

    Higuita video is brilliant.

The guy was wasted between the sticks. Should have been starting in centre mid

Davies is vilified at times on here but I’m never given an answer when I ask who is any better at this level. If it was a new goalkeeper signed in the summer who had played as he has this season and had conceded as few goals as he has he’d be getting global acclaim.

There are also much worse than him at the next level, I’d say there’s at least six or seven championship teams he’d walk into; and all those saying to let him go and bring someone else in need to be very careful what they wish for.

With the way the club is well known to operate we will not be buying anyone with anything like as much experience and will struggle to match the quality. No he’s not perfect but if he didn’t have weaknesses he’d play for City.

He should be retained in my view, not at any cost, but I’m sure we could come to an accord.

I’d be much more comfortable with Adam Davies in goal next season than a 23 year old I’ve never heard of from Europe or someone from the national league - they might even just play Walton. Nobody has considered that they might not replace him at all.

Think it’s easy to guess he’d be replaced next season. Stendel likes his keepers to be fairly comfortable with the ball at their feet and also to be fairly comfortable sweeping up any long over the top balls, both of which has been stated in previous interviews are weaknesses in Walton’s game.
