And I had the audacity to have a go at the crowd and blame their lack of applause for me not giving enough of a toss to make sure that when I kicked a ball I managed to get it within 50 feet of a teammate I would be utterly ashamed of myself.

If your self worth is so low that you need the adoration of people you don't know and need to feel worshipped in order to give 100% in your job then **** me you have bigger issues than kicking a football around a pitch. Grow up and stop blaming others people for your weaknesses

I agree. Was there some unhappy players?

It doesn't matter how well they are paid. They don't go on to the pitch with the intention of having a bad game. If you know anything about the game you would know that. Sometimes it just happens. Just like when you have a poor day at work. It happens, get over it and move on.

There is a difference between having a bad game and strolling around the pitch without putting in any effort. Most fans will forgive the former but not the latter.

Lad in front of me yesterday in ESL

Ended up having a full blown conversation with mills while the game was ongoing .

    Heated debate some would say

I don’t mind players having a go back Shows they care

Mills did have an awful game but so did majority of the squad

Did mills have an awful game though? Defended pretty well and had to resort to long balls when he had nothing in front of him.

His job is to defend and he's done that well since he came in....

I don’t think he did either of them.

I think it was more an acknowledgement of ‘yes I know I ****** up but this place is too negative let’s try & create an atmosphere as it’ll help the team’.

Just to clear up I’m presuming the posters talking about Matt Mills who kicked a ball out of play & took some abuse from someone in the East Lower in the first half so gave them some stick back & his arms seemed to signal a ‘come on get behind us’ message. Can’t see the issue.

It's a feedback loop, as a player I'd be thinking 'we need to give them something to cheer about here' rather then be thinking its somehow the fans responsibility to make me give 100%.

Leeds fans the other day did their bit. Five minutes of round the ground chanting and scarf twirling got them a goal. And then another....

True but we’re in a relegation battle with mainly young players low on confidence, can’t be a help the place been so negative.

That's what got hem the goal was it? I thought it was the players putting the ball in the net. The players must have really responded to being booed off at half time then

Quite funny, the lad nearly spontaneously combusted when Mills missed that sitter header later on.

I'm one of the few and will get stick for this who thinks that just because you pay your £13 to watch a match that IT DOES NOT give you the right to boo, verbally abuse our own players. If you do this why on earth should the player show any sort of loyalty ie hourihane only stayed as long as he did due to his friendship with Patrick Cryne nothing to do with his love and appreciation for the barnsley fans who did boo and abuse him previously. How can any person think that they have any right to abuse another person it's beyond me. I have thought for months that Bradshaw should be dropped but never in a million years would I consider standing at the side of the pitch shouting abuse at him if I did that would make me a low life *****. I pay my money I can abuse another person just because he is a footballer and earns more money than me absolute ******. If we ever get to a stage where the players just don't care or try and the club do nothing about it then we will relook at it but basically you just stop going and save your money.

Mate how do you have a conversation with a player whilst he's playing? Was it like beam me up Scotty or rent a ghost when there was a stop in play?
