Imo today was a great football game with barnsley being the better team, Bristol created some good chances and could’ve scored 3/4 but so could we too, fine margins in this league. we need to take positives from the game and go again, à thought Williams and Dougall slotted in well, like the look of Ritzmeir (If that’s his name) my man of the match was Brown, a think he’s getting better game by game, wins loads of headers, chases every ball down and gives defenders nightmares!! keep the faith, we’ll stop up
This guy Struber will keep them going till the very end, he believes in his system and his players and they are starting to show, other than Derby other well à can’t recall a game I set his stewardship where we have been outplayed and out fought
I think our best eleven stays up. We still have players that clearly aren't good enough in our match day squad: Serena and Venus Diaby Andersen Thomas Chaplin (Chris Dagnall incarnate) Sooner we bring Beethoven and Oduor in and Woodrow is fit the better. A bit gutted tonight if i'm being honest but Struber is doing a good job and has weeded out some ***** already. We move on.
Lost conceded again and couldn’t score hmm. We were the better side but both sides could have had 3 goals but for poor finishing.
Maybe conceding a goal and not scoring any goals is going to be made the new way to pick up points. 18 games left and it's going to be tight. We are where we deserve to be.
Don’t think we will. We can’t seem to gain enough points to get out of the rello spots at the moment.
Are you Nudger in disguise? Chaplin is one of the best finishers we’ve had in years. Give him the right ball & he puts it away.
Fine margins yes... that's why we lose matches we should have at least drawn and draw matches we should have won. So for us that means the reality is that they're not quite good enough and League One is beckoning.
Say what you all want our club is cursed. Some of the defeats decisions I’ve seen over the years against us makes me believe god is sat up there with a banner saying “f..ck Barnsley”
I think that if we play like yesterday from now until the end of the season we will be in nearly every game and feel that we have been competitive for most of it but ultimately go down due to our deficiencies at either end of the pitch (lack of plan B up front and lack of calm experienced organisation at the back) which can often be masked by what is regularly some lovely interplay between the two boxes.
Problem now is that we are running out of games,19 I think? We need a minimum of 9 wins or equivalent at least,to have a chance of avoiding relegation. The stress levels for the staff and players is immense, every game is like a Cup Final. A good performance yesterday but no points, eventually as we have seen before, performance levels drop when the inevitable starts to loom.
