which I so hope we do, then what would be the chances of getting McBurnie on a permanent deal I wonder.
Slim to none he’s not going to come here for a relegation scrap every season, and the way he’s started for us other clubs will already be looking at him as will Swansea.
Think there's next to no chance of signing him but why would you assume he'd be in for a relegation scrap every season? Is that what the new owners said they envisaged?
I know it's great to have someone up front who looks like he knows what he's doing, but I think we'd do well to not get too excited about him just yet. 3 goals in 3 games, yes, but we've won one of them. Let's see where he is - and we are - after, say, 10 games. If that's 6 or 7 goals and 10 pts clear of danger, then fair enough.
When you’re changing 90% of the squad every 12 months, I just can’t see us ever getting a full team of decent championship quality players and without that you’re always going to struggle.
I see why you’re saying but he’s got us the 4 points. You could argue that we’d have still beaten Birmingham but I’m not convinced any of our players would’ve scored the goal he did against Wendies. If he can get close to 10 then I’d be delighted.
How can you possibly say its going to remain like that when the new owners have specifically said they're going to grow the club and increase investment in the playing side along with it?
To bring in players, develop them, and sell them on, making as much profit as possible, they’re basically live stock farmers.
There's hundreds of millions to be made if we get to the prem and they market us right. Do you really think a bunch of billionaires are going to p**s around making 5 or 10 million every couple of years as we bounce between League 1 and the Championship?
Correct Plus, as I keep saying, buying BFC may just be the gateway into expanding their interests in our area; and I’m sure we’d welcome the investment
