They paid their money, it's their choice if they leave early or not.

I am pretty sure he wouldn't have blamed anybody for leaving early

Friendly or not doesn't hurt to make tackles

I stormed out at Crawley & after the 5-0 at Huddersfield.

I believe there's a time and a place for such behaviour and an absolutely meaningless kick a bout is not it!

I've never left a game early in my 20 years of watching football. Each to their own though.

Today was last chance to see what we are capable of and for Hecky to see what he's got going into the season. In his interview he sounds appalled by the effort on the pitch so I've no objection to fans letting the players know what is not acceptable when they have paid their money.
Losing to a good side is acceptable but not giving your all on the pitch isn't (especially for Barnsley)

What's the point of playing football if you don't want to win, Friendly or not?

Shouldn't be like that in the last pre-season game though. Should be same intensity and desire needed next week so you're not just having to change your attitude within the space of a week.

Isgrove stormed off early, although not really his fault.

So am I an idiot for not even going and showing my support in these Friendlies. They are glorified training sessions so I don't go And if I did and wasn't enjoying it I'd leave.

I don't leave proper matches early. Not even the Crawley debacle but that's my choice if others would rather be in the pub that's up to them

Yes, I thought the same at the time.
    It's a friendly FFS !!!
We are there to see how the new players perform - well I am anyway - as well as looking at the fab New York Stadium for the first time.

But the fans that left - missed seeing the appearance of some of our players.
I can understand it if it was a bad defeat in the league against our local rivals Sheffield / Leeds.
    But not at a friendly.

Alternatively it was a meaningless friendly, a glorified training session where the result means nothing (words I hear regularly). If somebody wasn't enjoying themselves and decided they would rather leave the training session a bit early to do something else then what's the harm?

How have you managed to avoid the New York stadium for so long?

I walked out early. I didn't 'storm out', I just thought my time would be better spent getting p*ssed, and it was needed after watching that.
