This is from the EFL announcement. It doesn't say anything about bank holidays? EFL Clubs will be able to live-stream in the UK and Ireland any league match via their respective iFollow (or equivalent) service that takes place outside the blocked hours of 14.45-17.15 on Saturday afternoons and that is not broadcast live on Sky Sports. Sky Sports will have the right to stream the same Championship fixtures to subscribers across their interactive and digital services
see link, says bank hols there. https://www.efl.com/broadcast-schedule/ They seem to make exceptions though (i.e international break) so could be i guess.
Ok. I'm looking at a different page... https://www.efl.com/iFollow/ Weird. So then. It might or might not be on lol
Yeah their communication is terrible. I bought a match pass whilst abroad to find out just before kick off there was an "international blackout". They were still happy to take my money though.
Ifollow is a **** service that screws supporters. Clubs should be being a lot more forceful in complaining on behalf of supporters. Ifollow don't care if a few fans complain but if the club's did they would be forced to improve things.
I think the end product is fine, if not slightly expensive. But the communication regarding which matches are available and to who is terrible. The situation with the walsall game (i think) was ridiculous. I don't even think some clubs were aware they could stream on international breaks. Thankfully I'll be around for both Christmas games so won't have to be guessing whether they are on or not.
This is what I received from a query to iFollow about the Boxing Day game. Thank you for contacting iFollow Support, Yes, the match between Barnsley and Peterborough will be available on iFollow on the 26th of December 2018. Regards Thahid, iFollow Support
Enjoy! Sorry i was under the impression boxing day would be classed as a bank holiday and therefore unavailable. But ifollow dont seem to follow the same logic.
Ah, but what does that mean? Does it mean that the commentary will be available on iFollow (as usual) or that BOTH commentary and video are available in the UK? I'm at the match anyway but would be interested to know.
