... I am just getting so frustrated this season. Overall, we do not play too badly, but even when we get a break or an attack, I just don't feel confident that we'll turn it into a goal. It's going to be a long season.
Down with the Christmas trimmings at this rate. But not to worry as we've just had our best ever transfer window..... 1 on target and lose one goal to nill. The only thing Collins had to save all afternoon and he couldn't. We have six on target and as usual cannot find the net, which makes you wonder what's happening in shooting practice on the five days a week they train.
and then we can sell those best ever players for a profit and start all over again in the third division.
According to the commentators we've had 18 shots...13 on target....although ifollow says 13 shots 5 on target...Forest had 1 on target out of 11.
We're really good at picking out the opposition keeper. All we have to do is hope one of them let's it through their hands and we'll score.
Look at the stats here. It's really frustrating we haven't taken any points from today's game. Forest's goal came from their only shot on target too. I fear we just don't have enough goals in us to stay up.
We’re competing against some of the best teams in the league at the moment and not being outclassed. I’m sure the goals will come. We’re creating the chances.
Playing this game then, Sheffield Wednesday, carlisle, Birmingham, Luton, Wigan 5 games not against ‘the best teams in the league!’ 1 goal.
I’m talking about the last two, since the injured players came back and we started playing like we did last season.
Currently Woodrow never gets the ball in a position that allows him to score either. Unless we come up with some real tactical change we are going to end up scoring a total of 23 goals this season at this rate.
If Thomas had a decent cross in him he would be a great player, but the times he either waited too long or just hit it anywhere was just embarrassing.
We can't score. Forest had 1 shot on target. That's all the decent teams need at this level. We had 5 and did anyone ever expect us to actually score. The signs were probably there against Fulham in that we only scored 1 but it papered over the cracks. The fact is we're highly likely to concede 1 or 2 and highly unlikely to score any. Other than that were not playing badly but it doesn't really matter given the above. I've never felt this un optimistic so early but that's the reality. Sorry
Is that a tactical decision from Stendel though for Woodrow to be dropping deeper/wider or is it a case of our best player getting f***ed off with our play and going chasing the ball to do it himself? Either way like you said it takes Woodrow away from the part of the pitch where he is most effective.
