Although it’s gone quiet a late but with Chien Lee freezing his ******** off at Oakwell on Saturday making it appear to be all go, what are everyone’s expectations of the takeover?

What do you want from it?

Want a team that can compete. No point in bothering if we're gonna be in and around the top six then lose our best players to finish mid table.

Ive some opinions on this, which could make for a lengthy response so I'll at least wait while I've got longer than my lunch break to write them.

To be able to avoid a transfer window like last January, and to not sacrifice players like Marc Roberts for cash at the expense of continuity for the head coach to plan. To structure player contracts better.

    1) Hecky to be able to keep hold of his better players. Develop players, pay them what they are worth and have earned and keep them here instead of other clubs benefiting from them for a couple of million.

    2) Our ground to go back to being able to sell every single seat if we have the demand for it. By the end of the season the current restrictions will have cost us thousands from turning away fans away. Hope he finds a way back around it or he might look to get us a new ground where every ticket can be sold.

    3) Make better use of the stadium on the 300+ days a year we don't have a game. Surely if Doncaster can get summer concerts we can. Holly Tandy is second in the X Factor betting. If she reaches the final when they get a campaign bus to tour their hometown with their mentor are we going to lend her and Sharon Osbourne Oakwell to drum up support for a fellow fan?

    4) Sort out a proper supporters bar. I can actually see him wanting to build a hotel near the ground and have a good size bar within it.

    5) Sort out our really poor club shop. I was totally behind us going after rogue traders using our copyright to make money without our permission. But a lot of them sold items we don't sell in our own club shop. It's much easier to kit a childs bedroom out in merchandise of a premiership club, replica shirts still sell out too quickly and basic items like polo shirts and jackets with a BFC badge on are far too expensive for the quality.

    6) Bring media back in house. I reckon if we designed our own official website and got shut of iFollow we could do a better of both services.

    7) Better quality of pre season friendlies. This past summer being at home to a team two leagues below must rank as one of our poorest summers ever. Be nice to get a old firm side but it wouldn't be the end of the world if we didn't. Be good to get over some foreign clubs we've never played before like when we got Bordeaux over. Maybe we will get Nice?

    - Ground improvements to make it more appealing to new fans.
    - New West Stand and fill the corners in.
    - General maintenance and improvements around the ground. Was in the East Stand Saturday for the first time, it's still ****.
    - Desso pitch and removal of the sand for a red tartan track
    - a campaign to improve the crowds and break 15,000 average. FFP rules will mean we need to increase our attendances.
    - competitive salaries, not breaking the bank for the likes of Hourihane/Winnall but able to keep the likes of Scowen/Roberts/Watkins
    - transfer fees as we are, young players up to a million, trick is to keep them once they're the finished article
    - keep the academy up to scratch.

If were wanting to be a comfortable Championship club it's going to take a few million from the off to get us there, we're falling behind other clubs.

Not sure concerts would go down well with local residents. Donnys ground isn't near any homes as far as I'm aware.

My reply was in regards to the X-Factor suggestion. Last I heard we’d arranged a half-time performance and cards on the seat that will read out “VOTE HOLLY” across the ponty end. If, of course, she gets there.
