The league could look very much like this next season: North: Barnsley Sheffield United Sheffield Wednesday Huddersfield Leeds Bradford Hull Middlesbrough Sunderland Bolton Preston Midlands: Burton Derby Forest Birmingham Aston Villa Wolves South: Norwich Ipswich QPR Brentford Cardiff Bristol City Whichever one of Reading or Fulham who don't get promoted. It could be a very northern league again. I do love a good northern Championship season. We rarely get anything from teams south of Birmingham, and we had a good haul in the midlands last season. I hate Millwall but at least it's a new ground for me. I think Bradford is such a **** day out and just like Donny, Huddersfield and Wednesday, just go because it's a local derby. Still take that day out over that scum though.
I like the look of that league. Perhaps it'll go against the grain with a lot of fans, but (as usual with me) I'm looking forward to see who we bring in this Summer, have every faith in Hecky & his staff to recruit well and am quietly optimistic for 2017/18.
Optimistic? How dare you , don't you know there's been seven days since the end of the season and that work shy manager hasn't signed ten players. You don't know who's been retained... oh ok you do, but that spoils the general malady. And don't forget that the pigeons are still shitting on the seats in our woefully decrepit ground. There that covers most of it I think Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Me too I thought we were up against it a bit not knowing what our league was going to be til very late. Then to lose our CEO to Leeds at a key time. At least we've whatever set up we have pending a new CEO, and we've had a long time to target knowing the budget. It wouldn't surprise me to see the squad shift slightly towards controlling the ball more. We got through this season at times on set pieces from Conor and breaking our necks for 90 minutes which is tough for a small squad.
There'll soon be complaints about the preseason friendlies, the fixture list, the League Cup draw, the new signings, where the new signings come from, who we didn't manage to sign, the new home strip, the new away strip, the new CEO and poor, old Whitey getting blamed for nigh on everything!
Absolutely! I've noticed him ensuring he's on the banner photo of the club's official Twitter page, as the players walk round the pitch at the end of the Burton game! What more proof does one need??
Yes definitely, the more northern or even Yorkshire teams for us to play against the better. Im only 'supporting' Bradford for this one game though (and because its Millwall who they are playing), that support stops as soon as the game does.
Well that's Hull down (unless they score 3 in the next half hour), Bradford to beat Millwall next weekend for number 2 of operation Northern Premier League Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
